I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist, originally from the Outer Banks in North Carolina. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Child Development and Family Relations, with a concentration in Family Service, from East Carolina University. Soon thereafter, I continued on to earn my Master of Social Work degree, with a concentration on substance use counseling, from East Carolina University. Over the years I have had the opportunity to work in a wide variety of clinical experiences placed in different settings. I traditionally work with adults and adolescents who live with anxiety, depression, mood disorder, and substance use conditions. My therapeutic approach is best described as eclectic with foundations in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy along with Motivational Interviewing and Reality Therapy. My highest hopes are to provide each person I work with a supportive ear, so that you may feel comfortable to be vulnerable and experience growth through the therapeutic process. I will always support my clients with empathy, compassion, and the ability to provide a different perspective on some of life’s biggest battles.
